Its Fall/Winter 2025 Collection at Paris Fashion Week
By Neha Shamim
For the first time, Bangladeshi luxury fashion label Zurhem has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 collection in Paris, France, during the prestigious Paris Fashion Week. Organized by The House of Vendôme, this milestone event marks a significant step for the brand on the global fashion stage.
Founded in 2015, Zurhem has established itself as a leading luxury fashion brand in Bangladesh, offering an exquisite blend of prêt-à-porter and bespoke creations. Under the leadership of Creative Director Mehruz Munir, the brand has redefined luxury fashion, garnering international acclaim for its bold designs and impeccable craftsmanship.

Titled “Solaris,” the collection consists of 15 menswear and 5 womenswear ensembles, each inspired by the Sun’s celestial journey. The designs feature solar motifs through intricate embellishments and striking silhouettes, with a color palette evolving through the phases of the day. The collection begins with white, symbolizing dawn, adorned with pearl embellishments. Gold follows, introduced through opulent beadwork and shimmering stones, reflecting the “golden hour.” Green emerges next, alongside gold, evoking Earth’s lush landscapes from space. The collection concludes with deep black, enhanced with dark beadwork and embellishments, symbolizing the vast night sky.
Menswear, Zurhem’s forte, showcases structured tailoring and innovative layering, with suit jackets, tuxedos, overcoats, and parkas. Classic silhouettes are reimagined with a contemporary flair—cropped jackets and bandhgalas are adapted for the European market, while corseted ensembles and floor-length trains push the boundaries of menswear.

For womenswear, Mehruz Munir presents five dramatic couture gowns featuring grand trains, sculptural shapes, and strategic cutouts. These designs elevate embellishment techniques, paying homage to the opulence of Parisian couture, the birthplace of haute couture.
A defining feature of “Solaris” is its use of circular embellishments, symbolizing celestial bodies like the Sun, Moon, and planets. These appear as radiant sunbursts or intricate constellations, reflecting the grandeur of the cosmos.
The exclusive runway show took place on March 8, 2025, at the historic Chapelle Sainte-Jeanne-d’Arc in Paris. Built in 1914, this storied venue adds depth to Zurhem’s Paris debut, providing a remarkable backdrop for the celestial-inspired collection.
Zurhem’s presence in Paris highlights Bangladesh’s emerging role in the global luxury fashion scene, paving the way for the country’s recognition as a hub of innovation and creativity in fashion.
