The crowning of Samanzar Sayeed as Miss World Bangladesh 2026 marked more than the conclusion of a national pageant,it signalled the beginning of a new chapter for the franchise, one that places purpose, leadership and social impact at the forefront. Held at the elegant Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel, the evening celebrated not only a new titleholder but a renewed vision for what it means to represent Bangladesh on one of the world’s most prestigious international stages.
Selected from an accomplished Top Five comprising Aysha Rahman, Jukta Bhowmik, Labiba Manzur, Samanzar Sayeed and Swagata Shaha Oishi, Samanzar distinguished herself through her confidence, communication skills and commitment to making a meaningful difference. Swagata Shaha Oishi was named First Runner-Up, while Labiba Manzur secured the title of Second Runner-Up.

With her victory, Samanzar succeeds Miss World Bangladesh 2025, Aklima Atika Konika, and will represent Bangladesh at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Vietnam later this year.
The finalists were evaluated by an accomplished panel of judges drawn from the worlds of pageantry, fashion and media. The panel included Shirin Akter Sheela, Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019, actress, model and television host; Efa Tabassum, Miss International Bangladesh 2024; Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Miss World Bangladesh 2019, actor and philanthropist; Mehrin Afroze Chowdhury, Editor of The Daily Star Lifestyle; and SK Saifur Rahman, Consultant at Haal Fashion, Prothom Alo. Beyond appearance, contestants were assessed on confidence, personality, stage presence, communication, social awareness and their alignment with Miss World’s globally recognised Beauty With a Purpose philosophy.

This year’s competition also reflected the evolving identity of Miss World Bangladesh under Azra Mahmood Talent Camp (AMTC), which became the official licence holder in 2025. Under the leadership of National Director Azra Mahmood, the organisation has sought to redefine the platform as one that nurtures women who aspire to become advocates, leaders and changemakers.
“This is more than the beginning of a new reign,it is the beginning of a new vision for Miss World Bangladesh,” said Azra Mahmood. “Our focus is no longer simply on beauty, but on purpose, leadership and service. We are building a platform that empowers women to become changemakers, ambassadors and role models for future generations. Every titleholder should leave with more than a crown, and Bangladesh should leave with a stronger voice on the world stage.”
Speaking about the newly crowned winner, Mahmood expressed confidence in Samanzar’s journey ahead, describing her as a young woman of exceptional grace, potential and purpose who is well prepared to represent Bangladesh with distinction.

As Miss World Bangladesh 2026, Samanzar now begins preparations for the 73rd Miss World Festival, which holds special significance as the Miss World Organisation celebrates its 75th anniversary. The international festival will commence in Hanoi on 9 August before culminating in the 75th Miss World Grand Final in Nha Trang on 5 September. Alongside contestants from across the globe, she will participate in cultural exchanges, humanitarian initiatives and the Beauty With a Purpose programme that has become the hallmark of the Miss World platform.
The evening was presented with the support of several partners, including Amishee as Jewellery Partner, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden Hotel as Hospitality Partner, Persona as Official Makeover Partner, Azra Mahmood Talent Camp as Grooming Partner, V Frame as Photography Partner and Cine Scripture as Visual Partner.
As beauty pageants continue to evolve beyond traditional notions of glamour, Miss World Bangladesh is embracing a broader mission, one that celebrates intelligence, compassion and leadership alongside elegance. With Samanzar Sayeed beginning her reign under this renewed vision, the platform enters a promising new era, carrying with it the ambition to amplify Bangladesh’s voice on the global stage while inspiring meaningful change at home.
