Dhaka, 19 June 2026, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport unveiled its new art collection in partnership with Bhumi Gallery during an exclusive gathering held at CONNEXIONS. The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, business leaders, art enthusiasts, and representatives from the local creative community, creating a space where conversations connected culture, travel, and identity.
The collection, specially commissioned in partnership with Bhumi Art Gallery, reflects the hotel’s commitment to supporting local artists rather than treating art as a decorative investment. The initiative focuses on creating visibility for Bangladeshi artists by providing a platform where their work can reach an international audience that may not otherwise encounter it.

Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager IHG Southwest Asia and Cluster General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport, spoke about the purpose behind the initiative. He said the hotel wanted to go beyond simply displaying artwork and create opportunities where artists feel seen and supported. He added that hospitality spaces naturally bring together people from across the world, making them an ideal setting to introduce Bangladesh’s art in an authentic and accessible way without reducing it to a commercial asset.
A notable aspect of the event was the relaxed atmosphere often absent from traditional art unveilings. Conversations remained informal, interactions were direct, and the artworks became starting points for stories centered around place, memory, and craftsmanship.
