SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 SERIES
Christmas came early this year with Samsung launching the Galaxy S23 series at its Unpacked event earlier this month. The South Korean tech giant introduced its flagship in three different trims — the standard S23 (Rs 74,999), S23 Plus (Rs 94,999) and the S23 Ultra (Rs 1,24,999). Apart from the screen sizes, the former two pack the same internals, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor along with a 50MP primary lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Ultra additionally gets a behemoth 200MP main sensor along with beefier RAM and storage options.
SAMSUNG GALAXY BOOK 3 ULTRA
Taking the competition to Apple, Samsung unveiled an array of its Galaxy Book laptops along with the S23 series. Leading the lineup here is the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, which comes with a 120Hz 16-inch 3K Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, powered by Intel’s 13th-Gen processors and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. All of this comes at a cost of Rs 2.81 lakh.
ONEPLUS 11
OnePlus appears to have corrected its course this year with the launch of the 11 series. The smartphone manufacturer has gone back to its roots, offering cuttingedge specs at an attractive price point. The OnePlus 11 starts at Rs 56,999 (8GB/128GB) and gets a 6.7-inch 2K 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. At the back of it sits a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 32-megapixel camera. Powering all of this is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a 5000mAh battery with a 100W fast charging support. Unfortunately, wireless charging has been given a miss here.
SONY ZX700 WALKMAN® ZX SERIES
Sony brought some nostalgia back into the audiophile space with their all-new Walkman — chock-full of high-grade components such as a large 8 mm coil and S-Master™ HX digital amp for top-shelf audio quality on the go. Paired with over 24 hours of FLAC playback time, a larger 5″ display, easy-access streaming capabilities and some truly phenomenal build quality, this is the perfect gift for anyone who cannot compromise on their audio experiences, and is currently available from top importers for Rs 69,990.
MSI RTX 40 SERIES LAPTOPS
Want to get back into gaming? MSI has something for you. The brand has dropped its new line of laptops featuring the latest RTX 40 Series GPUs along with the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13980HX processor — a combination more than capable of running most current AAA titles. The new laptops are a part of the brand’s creator Z Series, Raider, Titan, Stealth, Prestige, and other line-ups, starting at a base of Rs 58,990 and going all the way up to Rs 5,48,990 for the Titan GT77.
ONEPLUS TV Q2 PRO 65
OnePlus has been fairly successful with its Smart TV game in India for the last few years. Doubling down on its entry-segment success, the company has launched the new QLED 4K 65-inch Q2 Pro Smart TV for Rs 99,999. This massive unit gets a high refresh rate of 120Hz with a max brightness of 1200nits, rounded out with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG high-dynamic range formats for OnePlus’ best viewing experience yet. It even offers a Horizon Soundbar and voice command feature integrated with Google Assistant.
MOTOROLA RIZR CONCEPT
Revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2023, Motorola’s latest concept brings something back to the smartphone world that’s been sorely missing in recent years — wacky innovation and good old fun. The new concept device features a 5-inch display with a 15:9 aspect ratio which expands vertically to a 6.5-inch diagonal with a 22:9 aspect ratio, using an unusual rolling mechanism that can be operated via the power button. While the phone is still a concept, Motorola has shared interest in introducing a mass market version soon
