When I first set out to write about watches, my personal collection was… well, nothing home to write about. Gathering dust in the back of a bedroom shelf was an old hand-me-down Seiko 5, a couple of unwanted gifts and the one watch that still fuels my passion for dress watches today, the Skagen Signatur SKW6430. Clean lines and a slick form factor, but it definitely wasn’t going to draw many eyeballs from seasoned watch pros and critics.
