Aklima Atika Konika, the radiant representative of Bangladesh at Miss World 2025, made her triumphant return to Dhaka and was welcomed in an emotional and inspiring press event. The event, held at a prominent venue in the capital, brought together media, supporters, collaborators, and well-wishers to hear firsthand about Aklima’s remarkable journey on the global stage.
Organized by Azra Mahmood Talent Camp, the session was not only a celebration of Aklima’s achievements but also a reflection on the passion, resilience, and teamwork that defined her path – from being crowned Miss World Bangladesh to representing her country among the world’s best.

Speaking with grace and gratitude, Aklima recounted her Miss World experience, describing the intense preparation, personal growth, and the profound pride she felt carrying the Bangladeshi flag.
“I walked onto that stage not just as a contestant, but as the face of millions of Bangladeshis. Every step, every smile, every word – I carried the pride of my people,” she shared during her emotional address.
Though she did not bring home the crown, Aklima’s commanding stage presence, elegance, and authenticity earned her widespread admiration, both nationally and internationally. Her participation was a powerful reminder that true representation transcends titles – it is rooted in identity, grit, and purpose.

The press meet featured a lively Q&A session where Aklima answered questions about her preparation, highlights from the pageant, and the challenges faced along the way. Several heartfelt tributes were also delivered by those who supported her journey, making the event deeply personal and celebratory.
Key contributors to Aklima’s Miss World campaign were recognized during the event, including the dedicated team from MBIT (Miss Bangladesh in Training) – a pioneering platform that played an instrumental role in grooming and mentoring her throughout her reign. Their holistic training and support were pivotal to Aklima’s international success.

Celebrated fashion designer Mehruz Munir, who designed several of Aklima’s standout ensembles for the Miss World stage, was honored for his creative excellence. He was joined by fellow designers Raisa Amin Shaily, Fardin Bayezid, Biswajit and Trisha, who also contributed to her diverse and culturally rooted wardrobe.
Behind the scenes, a talented creative team helped bring Aklima’s vision to life. Honored for their contributions were photographer Naymul Islam, cinematographers Ashrafuzzaman Shakhhor and Polash Biswas, and choreographer Asaad Khan, all of whom played vital roles in storytelling, media production, and stage presentation.
A special tribute was made to Efa Tabassum, Aklima’s personal stylist, fashion director, and image architect. With impeccable attention to detail, Efa curated each of Aklima’s looks for the international stage – ensuring consistency, elegance, and an authentic reflection of Bangladeshi culture.

“This was never a solo journey,” Aklima emphasized. “It was built on the shoulders of mentors, creatives, friends, and believers. Today, I stand here not as an individual, but as a reflection of all of you.”
The event was not only a celebration but also a call to action, as Aklima prepares to embark on the next chapter of her mission. With her platform amplified, she is now dedicating herself to her ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ initiative, titled Young Mind Matters – a campaign focused on youth mental health and emotional wellbeing. She plans to launch impactful awareness programs and outreach projects in the coming months to support the mental resilience of the next generation.

“We are incredibly proud of Aklima,” said Azra Mahmood, National Director of Miss World Bangladesh. “She represents the next generation of Bangladeshi women-strong, compassionate, and globally minded.”
Aklima Atika Konika’s return marks more than the end of a pageant – it is the beginning of a movement fueled by heart, hope, and heritage. Her story is now a beacon for aspiring youth across the nation, proving that with passion, preparation, and purpose, the world stage is never too far away.
